 Holy Trinity Hospice and the Ichabod Washburn Hospice Residence are always looking
for new volunteers! If you are interested in dedicating a portion of your time to
truly making a difference in someone’s life then we have plenty of opportunities. As
little as one hour each week can make huge difference to our patients. As a small
hospice program, we are offered the unique opportunity of fostering close
relationships with the individuals and families we serve. Our volunteers receive
ongoing training, support, and supervision.
Volunteer Application
Opportunities:
Patient Visits - Many of our patients are in need of companionship, whether it’s a
friendly face, or a listening ear even an hour each week can make a huge difference
in the lives of our patients.
Residence Concierge - Our Hospice Residence is looking for volunteers to come in
each day to help with the day to day workings of the residence. This includes
answering the door and phone, greeting families, light cleaning such as dishes,
sweeping, some dusting, assisting the cook when needed, as well as assorted other
tasks. Shifts typically last 2-3 hours.
Residence Cook - Do you love to cook? Our hospice residence is staffed by nurses,
aides, and volunteers!If you would like to help out by cooking we would love to have
you on board. We are looking for cooks for each meal of the day, breakfast, lunch,
and dinner. If you have a day available each week and would like to come in to cook
please get in touch with us.
Office Assistance - Would you like to help out in our hospice offices? We need help
with filing, putting together packets, copying, phone calls, mailings, and more. If
you love office work this is the opportunity for you!
Special Skills - Do you have something special to offer? We welcome all kinds of
specially skilled people who are interested in donating their time. Musicians to
play in our residence, manicurists, masseuses, pet therapists, hairdressers, and
more. If you have something special to offer please get in touch, we’d love to have
you on board.
